Hand in Glove is a track by The Smiths. It was the first single to be released under Rough Trade, debuting in May 1983. Hand in Glove peaked at number 3 in the UK Indie Chart, although failing to break the pop charts. A remix was compiled for the band's debut album The Smiths, released in 1984. That same year, British singer and Morrissey muse Sandie Shaw released a cover version, with The Smiths sans Morrissey serving as back-up musicians.
